So it’s no surprise that sneakers are on the rise when it comes to style. Sadly, some of these options are ridiculously expensive. So I got to thinking and realized that most of these styles have an alternate shoe with the same aesthetic without having to drop the crazy prices. So today, I’ll be going over 5 shoe styles that are popular today and also give you some alternatives as well.

1.YEEZY “CALABASAS”

Personally, this is one of my favorite shoes when it comes to the Yeezy line-up. They aren’t like the Yeezy Boost that everyone and their mother are wearing right now. Secondly, they have a very simple and minimal design to them. You can usually get them for about $150-$200 when it comes to resale. Making them the cheapest sneaker on this list. But you can still can get the same style, for even cheaper than that.

The “Reebok Workout Plus” is a 1980s style sneaker that you can pick up for $80-$90. It even comes in the same color-way!

2. RAF SIMONS “STAN SMITHS”

Raf Simons and Adidas collaborated and came up with this shoe that looks identical to the original Stan Smiths, except of the perforated lines there’s a “R” which bumps the price up to $400. Lucky for you, you can get a triple white Stan Smith, that looks exactly the same for only $85.

Unless you want to pay an extra $300 for a different side logo, this is the way to go.

If you do a little bit of research on your end, you can find almost the same design, as good of quality and sometimes even better for a fraction of the cost, once you remove the brand name. For example look at this Gucci necklace for $500.

I can get one from RoseGold&Black for like $50, that’s just as stylish.

3. COMMON PROJECTS SNEAKER

This is like one of those shoes that every man needs in his collection. Sad part is, most of us can’t get a pair because they retail for about $350. Personally, I never paid that much for a sneaker. I just went to MassDrop and picked up the Puro-White sneaker which looks exactly the same for only $90.

It’s the same white, minimal, full-leather design like the Common Projects, but you’re not paying that hefty price.

4.YEEZY BOOST

We all know Yeezy’s are on the comedown. The value of these shoes are decreasing simnifically. However, they are still extremely expensive. You can get a pair of Yeezy Creme or Breds for around $500. Instead, buy the Ultra Boosts.

You can get the triple whites or black for around $200. They have a similar silhouette and you’re getting the same materials and the boost technology for a fraction of the price of the Yeezy.

5. JORDAN 1 X OFF-WHITE

This has to be the most hyped sneaker of the Nike and Off-White collaboration and the price reflects on that being at almost $ 1,500. However, you don’t have to pay that much. This pair was inspired by the OG Jordan 1.

It’s literally almost the same shoe, you have the same color way and shoe, but without all the Off-White branding. The only sad part is that OG pair has gone up in price because of the collaboration but you can still get them for about $400, which is still almost one-third the price of the Off-White Jordan.
