This article is an ode to my old-time readers. You know who you are. Back when I only talked and wore suits. Anyway, it’s been a very long time since I talked about them and I believe it’s about time. So, today I wanted to share some looks I came up with our sponsor Indochino!
1.JUST KEEP THE TROUSERS
If you dress suit trousers the right way, they can appear to be casual. I just paired it with a quilted vest, plaid shirt, and a casual pair boots. It’s such a laid-back and put together outfit that doesn’t require any effort!
2.ADD A TURTLENECK
I know for a fact, you don’t want to look like every other guy with a suit. Why not just throw on a turtleneck and look super sophisticated. Pair that up with some dress shoes and you got a refined look that most guys aren’t doing.
3.THROW ON A T-SHIRT
We’re keeping the same concept as the previous one, just throw on a t-shirt and roll up your sleeves. Pair this with some quality leather boots and you’re good to go. This outfit doesn’t scream corporate or “work”. You can easily wear this on a date and fit in perfectly.
Guys, you have to realize that you need a good fitting suit if you want to pull off these looks. A suit that doesn’t fit you, not only worsens your look but makes you look cheap. That you either borrowed it from an older brother or haven’t got a new suit in years.
What I recommend? Invest in a custom made suit from Indochino! Buying from a company like this, you could never go wrong. The fit is so precise and perfect that it would be a sin not to buy a suit from Indochino. Essentially, all you have to do is write down your measurements (Don’t worry, they’ll show you how to!). Once you plug in all that information, find a suit you want and purchase the one that appeals to you the most. On top of that, they’re having a sale on their premium suits, that retail at $800, they’re selling for only $400! If that’s not good enough for you, use code “JOSEZUNIGA” for an even better deal! Use it wisely, gentlemen.
4.FORGET THE TIE
This look was first made popular by Kanye West in the late 2000s. Follow all the steps of putting on a suit, except just forget the tie. It’s a look you don’t see everyday and makes you apart from the rest.
5.PUT ON A BOMBER JACKET
Remember, a good rule of thumb is to always take off the suit jacket if you want to dress down. That’s one of the most formal parts of the suit. So, take that off, throw on a sweater or a t-shirt and then just throw on a bomber jacket! You can wear anything from a casual jacket to something luxurious and more dressed-up like this suede jacket (pictured above).
6.LEATHER JACKET ON TOP
This is definietly a David Beckham inspired look. You get the bad-boy aesthetic with the leather jacket, yet keeping it formal with the dress shirt and trousers. It’s a match made in a heaven and will always make you look handsome and stylish.
Throw on a black shirt to give you that John Wick vibe. That’s alos another reason why I love this suit from Indochino, it’s sort of a midnight blue so if you wear this suit at night, it almost looks like a black suit and I love that versatility.
Just remove the trousers and throw on some jeans. With that being said, throw on a casual shirt and the jacket. This is perfect outfit for a business lunch, Casual Friday or even traveling. You’re still extremely comfortable yet keeping that gentleman look.
