Today, I wanted to show you guys some of the most iconic shoes/sneakers that have been an iconic for decades and won’t die any time soon.

1.TIMBERLAND 6″ BOOT

I would go as far to say that it’s the pioneer to the rugged aesthetic with boots. The original yellow boot was created in 1973 to be a waterproof and functional shoe for the hardworking people of New England. Now, as you can probably see this is more of a fashion statement than a work boot. Celebrities like Pharell, Kanye West and Rihanna are always seen rocking “timbs” and I can tell you right now, this fad is here to stay.

2.DOUBLE MONK STRAP

This is a dressier shoe and something that I love in my collection. I have several pairs of these, all my mens-wear enthusiasts out there, they know it’s a must. According to history, these were worn centuries ago by monks, except it was more of a sandal version. It ended up evolving into a closed toe shoe for practical reasons. Think about it, you have the benefits of a slip-on loafer with the formality of an oxford.

These specifics one pictured above are from a great company called Ace Marks and I can vouch for their quality and craftsmanship. That’s exactly what you want when it comes to dress shoes. Just to prove it to you, these shoes are made in the same factory as other companies that charge up to $600 for a pair of shoes. Ace Marks cuts out the middle man and is able to give you a high-end luxury shoe for a reasonable price. If you guys want to check them out, I highly recommend you check you their kick-starter.

3.AIR JORDAN 1

Some might argue that this is the most iconic shoe of any collection. If you think about, this is what propelled the sneaker culture with collecting and the hype around it. If that’s not iconic, I don’t know what is.

4.ADIDAS STAN SMITH

I would say this is the originator of the simple white leather sneaker. It was originally created for a French tennis player in the 1960s. When the French player decided to step down, Stan Smith decided to be the face of the shoe in 1978. Now, the rest is history, these shoes are iconic in both casual and streetwear and will always be a staple piece in a shoe collection.

5.PENNY LOAFER

This is another iconic shoe in American menswear. It’s designed was inspired by Norwegian fisherman that were wearing a moccasin style loafer. They brought that design to the USA and the brand G.H. Bass made it popular.

Personally, I’m a fan of the more refined and modern penny loafer compared to the stumpier version.

I believe this looks better with suits and denim. What do you guys think?

6.CONVERSE “CHUCK TAYLOR”

This is one of the oldest shoes on this list. The first shoe was designed in 1917 for basketball players becuase of its special grip on the bottom. In 1934, they were given the name, Chuck Taylor. However, the most impressing part is 101 years later, the same aesthetic of the shoe exists and people are still rockin’ them.
