6 Healthy Habits That Will Change Your Life

I’ve noticed how just the most basic habits have completely elevated my life. Just by implementing small things into my life, I’ve seen the biggest changes in my day-to-day. The best part? You can do it too! Let’s begin.

1.COOK MORE

Try to eat out less. Even though most Americans would rather eat out in “healthy”establishments like Chipotle and Chick-Fil-A. However, most don’t realize that it’s jam packed with sodiums and sugars that you can avoid, if you were to cook at home. So one of the healthiest things you can do is prepare your own food so you know the exact nutrients and calories you’re putting into your body. Your muscles, brain and your skin will thank you for it.

2. WASH YOUR FACE AND USE MOISTURIZER

This is one of the most important steps. Never forget to wash your face twice a day and use moisturizer. I’ve gotten a lot of questions asking “Jose, how does your skin glow like that”. The truth is there’s not much too it.

3.BUILD A FAT BANK ACCOUNT

…or at least make yourself feel like you do. Everyday, grab $5 and stash it away somewhere. Save that expensive Starbucks coffee and make it at home. At the end of the month, you’ll have an extra $150 for spending capitol. 4.TURN OFF SCREENS BEFORE BED

Studies have shown that the blue light that these screens give off can mess with the levels of melatonin in your body, the same chemical that helps you fall asleep at night. If that’s not something you want to do, just switch on “Night Mode” that most smartphones have these days. It “supposedly” turns off the blue light and gives your screen a yellow tint.

5.GET A FOOD JOURNAL OR APP

Having  journal or even better a app like “My Fitness Pal” is a great way to track what your eat everyday. This will help you make healthier choices and increasing your chances of losing weight.

6. 2 MINUTE TASK KILLER

A huge problem with our generation is that we procrastinate too much. You need to change that, you need to make sure you get things done. The way you do this by implementing the ” 2-Minute Task Killer” in your life.  If there is any task that could be done in under than 2 minutes, get it done. Even if it’s low priority.  This will condition your brain to getting things done, so when it comes to the important stuff, you won’t stop until your done.
