The New Year is coming in fast and I want you to be the most stylish man that you can be. Let’s make the TMF “fam” one of the stylish ones this year. So today, we are going to go over the top style trends for 2018 seen by the major fashion houses so make sure you keep an eye out! Quick Disclaimer: All of these are just trends, I don’t make them so there are some I don’t agree with. Let’s Begin!
This is basically the new backpack. I was in Europe the other day and literally every where I was looking, there was a guy rocking these types of bags. These are definitely going to pick up for the new year. Am I a fan of it? Not really.
Recently, a lot of the colors for Spring and Summer have been neutral. Well now, a lot of color blocking was seen on the runway. So it looks like vibrant colors are back for S/S 2018.
I don’t think this one is a surprise. This has been on for a couple of seasons now and it looks like it’s not going away anytime soon. Brands like Adidas, Nike, Umoro are all great for athletic wear however the only downside, it gets pricey. If you are online shopping, I strongly suggest you download this free extension called Honey.
What Honey does is look for online coupons and it automatically applies it at checkout. That’s how you save tons of money!
Tagging along with the athletic wear, a lot of sports team “repping” was seen on the streets of Milan and Paris. Which makes sense, a lot of athletes are becoming style icons themselves which are influencing the culture like David Beckham, Dwayne Wade, Russell Westbrook.
As if the wave wasn’t picking up already. A lot of loose trousers were seen during Fashion Week. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of them, I’m still going to stick with the tailored trouser becuase it does make guys look better. However, it does seem like it’s making a comeback and I wouldn’t be surprised in 1-2 years from now if that’s the norm.
Not that black is ever gone or ever unstylish. But you would never wear it during Spring or Summer, it’s just not the color of the season. Now, it seems like it is. It was the trending color for both Balmain and Alexander McQueen. So expect a lot of black in H&M, Zara and Pacsun for the next couple of season.
Definitely not a easy look to pull off without looking like some kind of mobster but a lot of fashion designers had it on stage for next year’s collection. So it’s safe to say that it’s going to be a popular color palette for next year.
