As most of you probably know, I recently picked up a Mercedes GTS. I’m absolutely in love with this car so I decided to do a little review on it and show some of the features that stood out to me! Let’s begin.
To start off, let’s talk about the design, it has a long shoe design, almost like the Corvette, you could say this is the SLS’s successor.
It has a 4.0 Liter Biturbo, so when turbos kick in…let’s just say that’s what got me sold. This thing is a frickin’ bullet. Another exquisite feature of this car are the tail lights.
It has a mini-AMG pendant on the light, it’s a small detail but that’s what I appreciate the most. The design itself is very sleek and exotic like no other, so it’s definietly a neck breaker. In addition, let’s not forget to mention the center lock wheels.
I love when I see cars with center lock wheels, it makes it look so much sportier and not to mention the foreign design of the car. It has a much more exotic look compared to the 911, I had before. For the price-point, it’s a great bang for your buck. I also want to mention the design of the side-view mirrors.
They’re like something I’ve never seen before, it adds to the whole sporty and aerodynamic aesthetic.
However, the most amazing part is the exhaust. Obviously, I can’t show you on here, but if you want to hear it, I suggest you go check out GentsTech on YouTube, where you’ll see this video and hear what this beast sounds like.
Now, the interior, I’m lost for words, it’s absolutely amazing. The design they put into the center console, you can’t find another car like this at the same price-point. It feels like your in a cockpit of a plane.
Handling on the other hand is very stiff. There is no play on this wheel, it’s super direct. Wherever you point the wheel, the car goes. But, no body cares about the handling or the interior. What you’re really here for is the 0-60. Before that, let me give you some information on this car. First off, it’s a stock engine, I didn’t tune it in anyway, it’s. a factory GTS. As mentioned before, it’s a V8 Biturbo, 515(Horsepower) and 516(Torque), and it’s around 3,600 pounds.
On MotorTrend, the 0-60 on this car is about 3.5 seconds, and it’s best quarter mile is 11.6, crossing at 124 MPH. So, that’s what I’m trying to beat. Let’s head over to the track!
Alright guys! There you have it, our best time is 11.4 seconds, with one person in the car and LaunchControl. Leave me a comment and let me know what your time would be!
